Celebrating Greatness across Clark County
The Portrait of a Clark County Learner represents the qualities Clark County Public Schools hopes to see in its students and throughout the community: leadership, resilience, communication, innovation, citizenship, and collaboration.
Every Board of Education meeting begins with a celebration of how our students, staff, and community members are living these qualities.
"Greatness Recognitions allow us to celebrate the students, staff and community members who are Growing Greatness by living our Portrait qualities," said Superintendent Dustin Howard. "I can't think of a better way to start every Board meeting.
Greatness Recognitions are by nomination only, with CCPS staff members submitting recommendations for students, colleagues, and community members who exemplify the Portrait through above-and-beyond contributions. A committee then selects individuals for recognition each month.
"This process gives our staff a chance to shine a light on those they see making a difference every day, many times behind the scenes," Howard said.
The Greatness Recognitions also create a lasting record of the students, staff members, and community members who have helped strengthen our schools and community.
