For CCPS Finance employees, the annual Kentucky Association of School Business Officials conference is an essential resource for training and networking.
Beyond the training hours, Ellis said the event provides a valuable benchmark for measuring how the district compares with others across the state.
“One of the biggest benefits is just learning kind of how we compare to other districts and seeing that the way we do things is ahead of the curve in many ways,” she said. “Stepping outside of our day-day routines helped our staff recognize our strengths.”
School bookkeepers and members of the Finance Team attended pre-conference bootcamps for Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Bookkeeping. Those in attendance were Mandy Hounshell and Kim Anderson (Accounts Payable), Aleisha Ellis and Whitney Hood (Payroll), Britney Harper, Chantel Akers, Melissa Crawford, Angie Estes, Jill Stout, Adrienne McClellan, and Kim Cole (Bookkeeping).
For Ellis and her team, the conference remains a key part of staying current, staying connected, and continuing to strengthen the district’s financial operations. We’re so proud of our talented team!
