95% Attendance on Kentucky High Attendance Day!

CCPS had plenty to celebrate on Kentucky High Attendance Day Wednesday as Cardinals across the district showed up in a BIG way.

Together, our schools achieved an incredible 95.06% district attendance rate, a notable increase over last year.

Even more impressive, nearly every CCPS school met its established yearly attendance goal for the day and nearly every grade level recorded attendance of 91% or higher.

"This is a reflection of the intentional work happening in our schools to make attendance a priority," said Superintendent Dustin Howard.

Kentucky High Attendance Day is a statewide initiative designed to celebrate the importance of being present at school.

From donuts and Ring Pops to dress-up days, special contests, giveaways and more, our schools found creative ways to celebrate their students for showing up.

At GRC, the celebration reached another level with four iPads given away to students (Congratulations to Piper Brock, Leland Durham, Oliver Hutchens, and Katelynn Wagers.)
