With books for every age and a fun experience waiting at each stop, the CCPS Book Bus is giving students a reason to keep reading all summer long.
The bus travels through the community three days a week, stopping at different locations each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to offer free books to school-aged children.
Driver Alison Esler said she hopes students take the opportunity to visit and discover something new to read.

“I think kids and families should come check out the Book Bus each week. We have all kinds of good and different types of books. There is something for all ages and it's a fun time.”

For Esler, the highlight of the summer route goes beyond handing out books. She enjoys seeing familiar faces return and meeting new students along the way.
“I like seeing all the smiling faces and meeting new littles," she said. "I also enjoy seeing some of my regular students who ride with me during the school year.”
As the Book Bus continues making its rounds, each stop offers students a chance to pick out a book, connect with others, and enjoy reading during summer break.
