Cardinal Community Center was filled with gratitude and celebration Wednesday as we honored 24 CCPS retirees for their years of service and dedication to our students, staff, and community.
While 14 retirees were able to attend the reception, the impact of each was celebrated.
"I want to thank all of our retiring employees for their service to our students, their coworkers, and to the community as a whole," said Superintendent Dustin Howard. "Their legacy of Growing Greatness in all of our students has been demonstrated for years and will continue to be felt in the lives of students. We are all truly better because we have had them in our lives."
Retirees were applauded not only for their commitment to public education, but also for the friendships and influence they shared with coworkers and students through the years.
To our Retirees: Thank you for dedicating a combined hundreds of years to serving our district! Congratulations as you move into the next chapter of your lives.
(Shoutout Skye Skinner-Brough and Cassie Puckett for their hard work on planning a wonderful reception.)
