Superintendent Dustin Howard received the Humanitarian Award today at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Celebration downtown.

What a meaningful honor for our leader who has prioritized finding ways to bring together our district and community to best serve our students.

Mr. Howard gave the event’s keynote address before being surprised with the award. He was presented a Kentucky Colonel designation from Gov. Andy Beshear, a Proclamation from Mayor JoEllen Reed, and a gift basket.

“It is a tremendous honor, and I am completely humbled and honored to even be considered for such a recognition,” Mr. Howard said. “I am thankful for the support of my wife, son, and daughter, as well as my CCPS team and family. It is a glorious privilege to live in such a wonderful community that helps grow greatness in each other. Go Cards!”

We are grateful for Mr. Howard’s powerful leadership and continued impact on our district and community.
