Through Clark County Public Schools’ Principal For A Day program, 11 leaders traded their usual responsibilities for morning announcements, classroom visits, and the bustle of school life, experiencing the heart of our district firsthand.
Each visit brought a new perspective, and a fresh appreciation for the daily work happening inside our classrooms.
"Principal For A day is such a unique and wonderful opportunity for our elected officials to be part of our school system, even for just a day," said Superintendent Dustin Howard.
In keeping with our district's mission to further strengthen district and community connections, Principal For A Day is a statewide program Mr. Howard champions annually.
"It’s easy to drive by our facilities and be appreciative of what our community has for our kids," Mr. Howard said. "This program allows our elected official partners to see that the real gift to cherish is not the facilities, but rather our staff and students. They are what make Clark County truly represent greatness."
Clark County Public Schools extends heartfelt thanks to all 11 participating public officials for dedicating their time, leadership, and support.
"It is partnerships like those represented in this program that help reflect the excellence of our great community," said Mr. Howard. "We appreciate every public official who joined us this year."
