Our FRYSC coordinators are once again leading the way across Kentucky.
Brooke Raney and Casey Davis, along with 38 other Family Resource Youth Services Center coordinators across the state, are piloting a new format for the annual FRYSC Continuation Program Plan.
Their selection highlights the strength and innovation of our local FRYSC programs.

State leaders met recently with Ms. Raney and Ms. Davis at the Cardinal Community Center to collaborate on the new planning process.
While FRYSCs will continue addressing all required program components, the updated format brings a sharper focus.
In the pilot program, FRYSCs select two specific areas of concern based on data and feedback, then develops up to four main strategies to address them.
Core FRYSC components not identified as primary focus areas will continue to be supported through ongoing FRYSC services.
FRYSCs are required each year to complete a local needs assessment (using school data, community indicators, stakeholder input, etc.) to identify priority non-academic barriers for students and families.

The continuation plan serves as a roadmap to address those emerging needs.
“This is their plan of action to carry them forward as to how they're going to address the top emerging needs of their students and families,” said Region 10 FRYSC Program Manager Lisa McKenzie.
We are proud of our entire FRYSC team for continually going above and beyond to support students and families.
