The Henry E. Baker Court was dedicated today with several family members in attendance.

We are proud to dedicate the gym floor of Henry E. Baker Intermediate School in honor of the school's distinguished namesake, the Rev. Henry E. Baker.

A guiding force in our community, the Rev. Baker built a legacy of leadership, service, and steadfast commitment to education. His signature, now permanently displayed on the Henry E. Baker Court, serves as a reminder of the values he stood for and the impact he made.

We were honored to have many of the Rev. Baker family members join us for this special occasion, a testament to the powerful mark he made not only on our school, but on generations of lives throughout the community.

“The CCPS vision is Growing Greatness,” said Superintendent Dustin Howard. “Mr. Baker exemplified Growing Greatness and continues to do so in our community through his family, through this building, and through this staff. Thank you for allowing us to share Mr. Henry Baker’s legacy in Winchester and Clark County. I could not be more proud.”

The Henry E. Baker Court stands as an indelible testament to a man whose influence continues to inspire the students and staff of Baker Intermediate and Clark County Public Schools.

The school hung a plaque to honor its distinguished namesake.
