HR team regularly joins EKU Recruitment fair

Our Human Resources team continually works hard to recruit and retain top-level staff for our district.
HR Director Dr. Tammy Parrish, assistant Dr. Lori Boyd, Baker Principal Josh Mounts, and Conkwright Principal Megan Swart recently spent the day at Eastern Kentucky University mentoring and recruiting future educators.
CCPS reps attended the invite-only portion of the event that includes conducting mock interviews with soon-to-be graduates, and participating in a forum explaining the hiring process.
“We start the day interviewing all of their student teachers,” explained Dr. Parrish. “These mock interviews are ‘real’ for us. Mr. Mounts has hired a teacher each year from these events. We then provide feedback to all in attendance.”
To end the session, a recruitment fair is held that includes approximately 30 school districts. Dr. Parrish said this portion of the event often results in our district hiring top educators to join the CCPS team.
We take pride in being ahead of the curve in recruiting and retaining top-tier school staff, due in large part to the outstanding collaboration between our Human Resources team and building administrators.
