It was a full circle moment for the Class of 2025 as they walked through CCPS schools in their commencement gowns, met with enthusiastic celebration by former staff members and younger students. This beloved tradition is a special journey of hugs, high fives, waves, former teacher connections, sibling celebrations, congratulatory signs, tons of smiles, and even some tears.
The energy was palpable as the graduates were met with rousing chants of “GRC, GRC, GRC” and “Let’s Go Cards!” The power of younger students seeing older students in graduation robes is a wonderful teaching moment and brings home the holistic impact of our Portrait of a Clark County Learner.
“We are extremely proud of our traditions in Clark County and this is one of the better examples of our senior class getting to celebrate while also reflecting on their journey,” said Superintendent Dustin Howard. “In addition, they are able to inspire future graduates on what can be accomplished in the Clark County Public School system.”
This wonderful event truly brings home our district mission of Connecting the Community
as One to Grow Greatness in all Students. “Every CCPS student is part of something bigger,” Mr. Howard said, “and the Senior Caravan brings that home in the best way.”
