Our FRYSC team is constantly on the move, and now they’re taking it to the next level!

Family Resource & Youth Services Center (FRYSC) directors have a new mobile trailer designed to bring support directly to families where they are.

This incredible resource allows them to deliver supplies, connect with students and families, and offer pop-up services throughout our community.

Our FRYSC directors were surprised with the trailer during the Hannah McClure Cardinal Community Center Open House.

"It was a real 'surprise and delight' for our FRYSC leaders," said Kent Coogle. "The addition of this trailer will streamline sharing resources in our neighborhoods and at community events, and we love being able to meet families where they are."

Strode FRYSC coordinator Ros Gay said the ability to meet families in their neighborhoods is ideal. “Families will feel empowered to share their needs and concerns and not feel judged by simply walking into a building,” she said. “It’s a wonderful addition to our services.”

The mobile unit was made possible through a grant from the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence as part of the Community Schools initiative.

We are so proud of the dedication of our FRYSC team. A huge CCPS Thank You to the Prichard Committee for helping make this vision a reality!
